The 6th Annual Ischua Valley Falling Leaves Regatta will be held September 8th 2012. Setup and camp from September 7-9, 2012.
2 regatta routes for 2012! We have a long route (7.8 miles) starting at Mill Street in Ischua and a shorter route (5.1 miles) starting at Farwell Road (View/Download the map of the routes). Follow us on facebook by clicking here

Hinsdale American Legion

The Hinsdale American Legion is located on 15 acres of property directly off NY S.R. 16 along side the Ischua Creek. The location is easily identifiable by the F-4 Phantom Fighter Jet sitting in front of the post. The location offers ample space for parking and camping alike over an expansive area of park-like grounds running along the Ischua Creek. There is a playground for children, lighted horseshoe pits, and a covered pavilion available. The Legion clubroom is open to members and sponsored guests, providing legal beverages as well as a food menu.
WHEN:
Friday, Sept. 7th - Camping and Boating Registration begin at 3:00pm
Saturday, Sept 8th - Boats and entrants to be transported and in the water by 11:00am
Sunday, Sept. 9th - Breakfast
WHAT:
An amateur regatta to be held with any form of motorless boat running the Ischua Creek from Mill st. in Ischua to behind the Hinsdale American Legion (approx. 7.3 miles except length may be shorter due to low water or inclement weather). The Ischua Creek is classified as one of the few Class A trout streams by the NY State Dept. of Environmental Conservation. The stream is home to native trout, ospreys, herons, and the American Bald Eagle. You are equally likely to see deer, bear, otter, beaver and other aquatic animals during your venture.
PRIZES: Awards will be given in the following categories:
Best Dice Score: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place

Best Group/Team
