WHEN: Friday, Sept. 18th- Sunday Sept. 20th, 2009
On Saturday an amateur dice run regatta will be held with any form of motorless boat, running the Ischua Creek (Behind The Ischua Town Barn). & SR 16 to behind the Hinsdale American Legion (approx 7.0 miles). There will be five pit stops with free beverages at each stop followed by a chicken barbecue. Transportation will be provided to all entrants.
Ample camping will be available on the Legion grounds along the creek. Live music will be provided in the pavillion.
PRIZES: Cash and/or trophy awards will be given.
On Sunday, Sept. 20th, a "Lucky Duck Race" will be held where participants can purchase their favorite plastic duck at the Hinsdale American Legion and watch it leave the nest at the Gile Hollow Rd. bridge with all its fellow nestlings and receive their cash rewards if their duck is judged the best at the end of the Ischua Creek run behind the American Legion.
Entry Fee: $5.00 a Duck
ENTRY FEE: $35.00 per person pre-registration (2 people per boat minimum except 1 man kayaks). $50.00 per person after September 1st.
Camping at $40.00 per site (2 vehicles per site).
All proceeds will go to support charitable organizations
